Overview
A small-footprint whole-house system built around a fluoride-reduction cartridge, rated by the manufacturer at 2-4 GPM for one to two people.
The cartridge uses activated-charcoal fluoride media that Crystal Quest says has a high affinity for fluoride. Because no change interval is published, plan replacement from your test results and daily use.
Key features and benefits
- Fluoride-reduction cartridge as the primary stage.
- Add SMART (Double) and carbon block (Triple) stages.
- Compact housing; 1" or 1-1/2" ports; optional floor stand.
- Single, Double and Triple configurations; the Triple carries all three stages.
Household sizing and water compatibility
- Manufacturer rating: 2-4 GPM | 1-2 people.
- Ports: 1" or 1-1/2" inlet/outlet ports.
- Water source: the manufacturer does not publish separate city-water or well-water ratings for this system; choose the cartridge from a lab analysis of your water.
Technical specifications
- Configurations: Single: fluoride cartridge. Double adds the SMART cartridge. Triple adds a carbon block cartridge.
- Cartridge format: 4-5/8" x 9-3/4" cartridges.
Installation requirements
- Optional floor stand with a lightweight, powder-coated aluminum frame lets you place the system anywhere without drilling into the wall.
- Professional installation by a qualified plumber is recommended. Install according to Crystal Quest's installation instructions for your configuration.
Maintenance and replacement
- The fluoride cartridge is offered on replacement schedules from every 3 to 18 months; the manufacturer does not publish one recommended interval, so set the timing from your water test and daily use.
Specifications and reduction targets are the manufacturer's. Results vary with your water, so test it before and after installation.
